A Benediction for Mothers

May the God of Eve teach you compassion.

May the God of Hagar bring you comfort.

May the God of Deborah give you courage.

May Christ, who touched the bleeding woman, heal your pain.

May the Christ of Mary send you forth to tell your story to the glory of God.
