La Sierra University is home for the Women's Resource Center. Excellent resources include books, newsletter, sermons, DVD's, tapes, scholarly papers. The Women's Resource Center is the one center of its kind on an Adventist campus. Photo albums, news and announcements are readily available at this source. The center also sponsors an annual Women and the Word event-a consortium of scholarly and inspirational presentations held at a different part of North America each year.

Christians for Biblical Equality - http://www.cbeinternational.org
Christian organization dedicated to the equality of women in the Christian and Biblical perspective. A wealth of resources may be found, many of them for sale. Some videotapes are available featuring speakers from the annual CBE convention. The highly regarded Priscilla Papers devoted to the latest in Biblical research on women is a publication of CBE-excellent articles for men and women alike.

The National Women's History Project is a secular organization devoted to the contributions of women, especially in the United States. It is included here because of the rich resources available for purchase. Excellent posters and other resources are especially helpful when looking for materials of ethnic diversity, including Asian, Hispanic/ African-American and Native American women. The on-line catalog on this sight makes it easy to order materials.

This organization produces a newsletter and hosts an annual convocation, usually in the fall of each year. The Women and the Word event is often held one day prior to AAW's convocation at the same venue. The 2006 convocation will be held in Seattle, Washington.

The journal for women of the Seventh-day Adventist Church published at the Review and Herald Association also has an excellent website filled with inspiring material.

Women Helping Women - http://www.whw.org
This excellent organization is one of a kind, located in Costa Mesa, Orange County. Its mission is to provide professional business apparel, image consulting and employment search support to aid low-income women in attaining and sustaining employment. Volunteers, donors and staff provide a supportive environment at no cost to Orange County women in transition. Basic computer training is available. Clothing donated to this organization should be cleaned and ready-to-wear. Especially needed are larger sizes. This site provides detailed information.
